# 00 — VECTOR Signal Intake Protocol Index

## Packet Name

VECTOR SIGNAL INTAKE PROTOCOL

## Purpose

This protocol standardizes how agents interpret optional civility markers and how they transform messy human expression into machine-ready briefs before execution.

## Protocol Layers

```text
01 Lean Civility Syntax
02 Signal Intake Mode
03 Machine Brief Schema
04 Execution Mode
05 Risk and Ambiguity Flags
06 Examples
```

## Default Behavior

Use Lean Civility Syntax for ordinary tasks.

Escalate to Signal Intake Mode when the input is messy, emotional, ambiguous, high-stakes, multi-step, or compliance-sensitive.

Use Execution Mode after the Machine Brief is confirmed.

## Canonical Command Correction

All mode triggers and supported command aliases are **case-insensitive**.

The canonical mode name is `SIGNAL INTAKE MODE`, but the system must recognize equivalent trigger aliases regardless of capitalization.

Valid examples:

```text
SIGNAL INTAKE MODE
Signal Intake Mode
signal intake mode
HUMAN INTAKE MODE
Human Intake Mode
human intake mode
```

Supported trigger aliases are also case-insensitive:

```text
SIGNAL INTAKE
INTAKE MODE
INTAKE FIRST
COMPILE TASK OBJECT
COMPILE MACHINE BRIEF
SIGNAL-TO-BRIEF
EXTRACT THE TASK BEFORE EXECUTING
```

Exact capitalization is never required.

## Core Doctrine

```text
Do not remove the human.
Remove the fog.
```

## Operating Summary

```text
For everyday work:
Please opens.
Precision directs.
Thank you closes.
For complex work:
Human expression enters.
The Machine Brief compiles.
Execution proceeds from the clean task.
```
